Below are quick instructions on installing this nightly on your galaxy mini or pop s5570 smartphone.

1. Download the rom zip file and copy it to the root directory of your sd-card.
2. Reboot your device to recovery mode.
3. Select Install Zip From SD-Card >> Choose Zip From SD Card and select the file named,
   cm-7-20120610-NIGHTLY-tass.zip, from the list.

Few days ago, a developer from xda forums announced the release of latest Android v4.1.1 based Cyanogenmod 10 custom rom for galaxy mini and I covered that news at this blog post. You can find details about latest Jelly Bean android software as well as the released beta 1 at the article.

7. Now from recovery main menu and select Wipe Data option.
8. Confirm data wipe by selecting Yes.
9. Now flash this android 4.1.1 jellybean based cyanogenmod 10 rom using clockwork mod recovery. Follow these steps :
• Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
• Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
• Now select cm-10-20120729-UNOFFICIAL-tass-beta-2.zip downloaded in step 3.
• Confirm the installation and wait till the rom is installed on you handset.
10. Flash Latest Google Apps for Jelly Bean in CWM recovery.  
• Choose Install Zip From Sd Card option.
• Select Choose Zip From SD Card option.
• Now select the gapps-jb-20120726-signed.zip file which you downloaded in step 3.
• Confirm the installation and wait till the zip is installed on you handset.
11. Reboot your device from your recovery main menu.

GalaxyICS is a project that aims to bring Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich to low-end Samsung Galaxy series of Android Smartphones. Question :

I installed the simple2ext in my cyanogenmod 9 as mentioned  in this article at Handy Information blog. after installing when I checked my task manager it shows that all my apps are installed in device but when i check the sd-ext directory it's showing all apps there. My device, which is Samsung galaxy mini gt-s5570, is showing 81 MB used memory in task manager application. I can't understand whats happening, please help?

I use CyanogenMod RC 5.7 on my Galaxy Mini/Pop GT-S5570 and No Frills CPU Control App to configure CPU frequencies. And I have a question which is best "governor" and "I/O scheduler" for my galaxy mini?

Reply : 
Well, in cyanogenmod  rc5.7 you can simply configure CPU Settings from within the rom's Settings=>>CyanogenMod Settings=>>Performance=>>CPU Settings options. It provides more configuration option than No Frills CPU control app. But, you can use any according to your preferences.

While, which configuration is better for Governor and I/O Scheduler filed depends upon the use of the device. Most, better and battery efficient configuration is to select SmartAssv2 as Governor and sio as I/O Scheduler. Smartass governor monitors the device's usages regularly and adjust CPU frequency accordingly between Maximum and minimum frequency. This way it will both be efficient for performance as well as battery life.

To optimize your device for efficient battery life, simply set Max. CPU frequency to not more than 700 MHz and minimum CPU frequency to below 300 MHz. Also, you can optimize the Max. CPU screen-off frequency by selecting it to around 400 Mhz. While this will save battery, it might make your device lag while waking up from sleep or in case you use background data and sync continuously even while screen is off. If that is the case then, the normal 600 Mhz or any other frequency near it should be fine.

Problem :
When ever I try to share Android Application Package (.apk) files via Bluetooth "No application can perform this action" pops up!! Help me Plz..!! How can i fix this problem? I am running Cyanogen Mod RC5.7 on my Galaxy Pop GT-S5570 smartphone.

Solution :
Yes, that's a small bug (not exactly a bug though, one can take it as a security mechanism) and it doesn't allow you to send apk via Stock File Manager. However, if you try to send the application package file via other file manager apps like ES File Explorer or Root Explorer or Astro File Manager then, you can easily send those apps. I am sure you can find either of these in the market for free. So, try it out and it will work.

Solution 2 :
Also, another trick is to rename the application package file to .bak extension (or you can append .bak to .apk making it something like application_name.apk.bak temporarily) and then send it to a desired device. One sent ask the receiver to rename it back to .apk and he will be able to use it as normal package. I've not tried it but, it should work fine since the limit is on file extension and in our case we've modified it.

Question :
Why Ice Cream Sandwich version (both CM9 and MIUI ) have Camera and Radio bugs, and its taking so much time.
Was there similar long delay when there used to be custom ROM development of Gingerbread, when Gingerbread was newly launched?

No, there was not such delay when there used to be custom rom development for Gingerbread. And, you should note that developing for custom roms based on Ice Cream Sandwich is quite different from the Gingerbread one. Read further to find these differences.
Gingerbread was an official support for galaxy mini and other devices so most thing needed came with the source including, camera libs, compatible kernel and many more. However, ICS not being an official release for all devices and still being in beta version the libs required to run camera and radio and other things are missing. Also, ICS uses kernel 3.0 however, due to the limit of low mid-range android smartphones the kernel from Gingerbread is needed to be used which again requires a lot of work. Similarly, the developers also rely upon the Cyanogen team for CM9 sources and features like those found in CyanongeMod 7 are still being ported to ICS based CM9. So, if you see it as a whole, only getting worried about new release by the users or the developer is not going to work well. It is equally important that users and developer be patient and wait for complete source to be available as well as for features from CM team.
