Samsung Galaxy Pop Plus GT-S5570i (aka Galaxy Next Turbo and Galaxy Mini Plus in different parts of the world) is quite different handset in terms of hardware architecture; though it sounds similar to Samsung Galaxy Pop or Galaxy Mini GT-S5570 smart phone and comes with same Android operating system loaded in it. So, one should be careful not to mistake the former with the later one while in the course of flashing or modding their pop plus gt-s5570i smart phone.
Whether you have soft bricked your handset and want to recover from that stage or want to manually upgrade you handset with latest android software, you'll have to come across with flashing. Flashing is the process of loading or installing firmwares, roms, update zips, etc. on your handset. - Odin Multidownloader v1.84: Odin tool is used to flash firmwares on Samsung handsets manually. However, there are different versions of Odin tools for different group of handsets and not all Samsung handsets can be flashed with the help of Odin. However, please note that firmwares provided at samfirmware for this device can't be used directly with this version of Odin. So, you'll need to use a tool called Odinatrix to decompress those firmware and get Odin flashable files. Please go through the article titled, "How to use Odinatrix to split one package firmware into multiple tar files?", for more details on how to use this tool and get Odin ready files for the firmware of your region.

Now, that you've got all required files on your handset, you are ready to proceed with the flashing instructions. Just be sure that you install the drivers on your personal computer and reboot it once before trying out the whole procedure. Also, be sure to read these simple precautions and then proceed accordingly with the flashing instructions provided above.
Instructions on Flashing Firmware
- Make sure you extract all the downloaded files with the help of WinZip, Winrar or other similar archive manager program.
It is recommended to keep the extracted files in a organized folder for easier access later on during the flashing process. - Run the Odin3_v1.84.exe application (you should get a window similar to below).
Odin3 for Galaxy mini/pop GT-S5570i - Check Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time under Option area.
- Click on PIT button and browse to the folder where you extracted the files and load tassve_0623.pit on it.
- Click on BOOTLOADER button and then load DefaultCalDataWithBoot_S5570XXXX_REV03.tar.md5 file on it.
- Click on PDA button and load the .tar file with PDA on it's name (PDA_S5570IJPLC1_REV03.tar on our example).
- Click on PHONE button and load the .tar file with MODEM in it's name (eg: MODEM_S5570IXXLC3_REV03.tar.md5)
- Click on CSC button and load the .tar or .tar.md5 file with CSC / CSC-MULTI in it (eg: CSC : GT-S5570I-MULTI-CSC-OJPLC1.tar.md5).
- Now, that you've configured Odin properly, Power Off your Galaxy Mini/Pop Plus GT-S5570i handset.
- Boot up your device in Download Mode. Press Volume Down + Home (Middle button) + Power button simultaneously for few seconds to boot to download mode.
- When your phone is in download mode (a screen with Yellow Triangle and Downloading written on it), connect your phone to your PC.
- If Odin detects your phone it should says something like 0:[COM4] in one of the boxes on the ID:COM area just above the Options. Then is your turn to press the Start button.
- Wait for about 5 to 6 minutes till Odin downloads the firmware files on your handset and installs them on respective partitions on your device.
- After few minutes of patience, you should see PASS written at the top left box. You can then disconnect your galaxy pop/mini plus gt-s5570i from your PC.
Notes:
Below are few things that you need to keep in mind before flashing the rom.- You'll not get BOOT file while using Odinatrix to prepare Odin ready files. In that case, you'll have to leave the BOOTLOADER field empty and just load other remaining files.
- If you are stuck at Samsung logo after flashing the firmware then, you'll need to go to recovery and wipe data and cache and reboot your handset.
- Be calm during the whole process. Don't rush up (if something unexpected happens) and do something wrong which may worsen the situation.

Finally after a long wait, Cyanongemod has released a stable version of official CynogenMod 7.2 android rom for Samsung Galaxy Mini or Pop or Next GT-S5570 smartphone. Since this is verified stable release from the cyanogen mod team itself, let us hope that it's quite stable, runs smooth and performs much better. However, we can't be sure yet until we give this stable cyanogenmod 7.2 build a try. So, I suggest all of you to try this custom rom on your galaxy mini or pop s5570 smart phone. And, in case if you come across a any bugs please, report them at this http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/ link, so that they can be fixed or solved on next release.

Cyanogenmod Team has released yet another nightly version of it's latest CynogenMod 7.2 android rom for Samsung Galaxy Mini or Pop or Next GT-S5570 smartphone....
This is a nightly and might not be quite stable, but it is suggested you try it and report any bugs or errors at this http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/issues/ link, so that they can be fixed or solved on next release.

It is well known that custom roms such as cyanogenmod doesn't come with a task manager. The developers believe android system to be intelligent enough to handle various stages of android activity and thus, manage task properly by itself. However, end users are more interested in managing the task by themselves.
Such users believe that killing task will free more RAM space as well as save their battery and prolong it's life. While it sounds to be true, it is not. Instead killing process that are required for the system will cause them to be loaded again in the memory, which consumes more battery then it would when they were active in the memory. Yes, starting new applications in mobile devices consumes more energy then keeping it alive. So, android handles them quite efficiently by caching frequently used processes. Thus, I'd recommend users not to mess with the running processes and leave everything up to the system to manage them.
However, I'll not end it here. As the title suggests, this article will help you get working task manager in your android custom roms. The task manager app below is tested to be working fine in Samsung Galaxy Mini/Pop GT-S5570, but, it will probably work on other devices too. So, if you are here looking for one, just give it a try.

Question :
I own a Samsung Galaxy Mini and heard that it doesn't support official adobe flash player app. I would really love to see flash sites on my device so can you tell me how can I run flash on my handset with stock firmware. I've heard that flash player works on custom android ROMs, so I thought it just might work with stock Gingerbread too.

Yes, adobe flash player works fine on custom roms on galaxy mini as well as on other device with ARM v6 CPU. However, I am not sure if it works well on stock Gingerbread firmware. But, you sure can give this a try and see if the flash player works fine on your stock Gingerbread ROM.
Download the files from step 1 and 2 below and then follow rest of the steps to install flash player on your device.
1. Download Adobe flash player version 11 : Adobe_Flash_Player_11.0_(11.0.1.152).apk
2. Download Lib files : Lib.zip
3. Install the flash player app on your handset using adb install command or by copying it to sdcard and then installing it manually.
4. Now, extract the lib.zip file and you will get few lib*.so files.
4. Then, Copy all these lib (*.so) files to /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib directory(folder).
4. Set permission of lib files as rw-r-r --Read & Write access for Owner and Read only access for Group and Others-- using Root explorer ( I believe you have rooted phone). Or if you are ok with terminal run this command in your terminal emulator or in ADB shell :
busybox chmod -R 644 /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib
5. Reboot your smartphone and then run a browser and visit any flash site to see if it works.
That's all. You are now ready to enjoy flash within your android device. If the above mentioned steps don't help you then make sure your browser supports flash and flash plugin is not set to off. Dolphin HD and Firefox are great browsers so just try with them. Also, if you are sure everything is set correctly and followed the procedure above correctly but if flash still doesn't appear in the sites then try again by rooting your device.
It should now work fine since someone already tested it a confirmed it to be working. However, do let me know if it works or not at the comments below.

Problem :
I have few doubts regarding my Samsung galaxy pop (GT-S5570). I think i may have bricked it.
Actually what i did was, first I rooted my cell then after that i installed clock work recovery mod and then using recovery mod options I partitioned my SD card. This resulted in formatting of my SD card. After that i thought of factory reset as my internal memory was getting full, so from settings-> privacy menu, I click on factory reset option and it restarted and took me to CWM recovery options, there i selected wipe data/reset and after that cell restarted and then it shows Samsung logo and again keeps restarting.
Is there any solution for this problem else than going to Samsung service center ?
I have no idea what i did to my cell... but i want to resolve this issue asap.
